It started in 2021 as a bit of a backup plan. With the big festivals at risk of being cancelled by covid, we threw our own — a borrowed sound system, a farmer's field, and a group of us who just wanted to dance under the stars with the people we love. No big stages. No queues. No fuss.

Every year a few more mates come along, and every year we try to leave the field a little better than we found it. We're proudly independent, run by the two of us and a small army of friends who set up the bar, string the lights and point cars at the car park.

This year we've made the tough call to postpone — we're sitting 2026 out to give the next one the breathing room it deserves. Wutopia returns in 2027 bigger and better, at a brand-new site, with the same friends and the same big heart. If that sounds like your kind of thing, you're already one of us.
